Joseph H White is a writer, actor, and director. Born and raised in East Texas Joseph received a scholarship to KD Studio Acting Conservatory in Dallas where he earned an Associate’s degree.
After graduating he and a few friends packed an enormous U-Haul and relocated to Chicago. There Joseph studied at iO Chicago (formerly Improv Olympic) under Charna Halpern, Andy Grigg, Holly Laurent, and TJ Jagadowski. He performed with John Lutz (30 Rock), Dan Backadaul (Veep), and Peter Grozs (The Colbert Report). He also performed with Jena Friedman (Soft Focus), Jim Asthmus (Marvel Comics), and Mort Burke (Drunk History).

Joseph’s strong improv background landed him a position as an emcee for the Chicago-based burlesque troupe, The Flaming Dames. A few shows in, Joseph was given the chance to write for their downtown revue The Dames Storm Division. He was then commissioned to write and direct Gleeks & Freaks: A Glee Burlesque Musical and Party On, Chicago: A Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Drinking Play for Gorilla Tango Theater.
Most recently Joseph created and was the head-writer for the comedy podcast Meet/Cute.
Other credits include Party on Chicago: A Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Drinking Play (writer), Anton Chekhov’s The Proposal (Adapter by and Director).
